This private cooking experience takes place in the heart of the UNESCO-protected Stari Grad Plain, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and untouched Mediterranean nature.


Hosted on a family estate, the experience is designed as a relaxed and authentic introduction to the culinary traditions of Hvar, far from any commercial setting. Guests are welcomed into a warm, personal environment where everything revolves around local ingredients, seasonality and simple island recipes passed down through generations.


The experience begins with a walk through the garden and surrounding fields, where guests handpick fresh tomatoes, herbs and seasonal produce. During this part, you will learn about traditional farming methods and the agricultural heritage of the island, which dates back to ancient Greek times.


The cooking takes place outdoors in a calm, scenic setting. Guided step by step, guests prepare a traditional Hvar tomato salsa from scratch, using freshly harvested ingredients, local olive oil and aromatic herbs. This base is then incorporated into several dishes prepared during the experience.


After cooking, guests sit down to enjoy a multi-course meal overlooking the fields. The menu is based entirely on local and homemade ingredients and may vary depending on the season and availability. Typical dishes include a selection of local appetizers such as goat cheese aged in olive oil, marinated fish, olives and capers, followed by handmade pasta or slow-cooked seafood specialties.


The experience ends with a traditional dessert made from local ingredients, paired with wine from nearby vineyards or homemade liqueurs.
